Praisegate's vision
The vision for Praisegate is to be able to provide one-sheet text/accord charts (level 3 approval) for worship songs. This is the type of charts that the worshipleader often spends a lot of time of writing in order to transpose or rearrange for the musicians. The printed music is often written from meassure one to the end, which result in more than 3 pages (15 pages is not unusual) with is hard for musicians to follow or even have room for on a music stand. Praisegate wants to provide basic outlines for the songs which can be used as is, or where a intro can be altered etc in an easy and uniformed way. This greatly benefits the music ministry in the church.
Honoring Music Publishers
We fully understand that music publishers need to get revenue to be able to continue their work, but we also acknowledge that a true worship song is given from above, and that God is our ultimate provider. We believe that it actually would be benificial to allow Praisegate to publish the song since it is more likely to be registerd in the CCLI report, which generates money back to the copyright owner. We hope that as many copyright owners as possible would allow Praisegate to publish text/accord for their songs.
We also encourage worshippers to buy worship CD's, and buy music books to support the Christian music publishers, and include them in your prayers.
