Tabernacle in Shilo

One of the potential areas of the Tabernacle is on the west side of Tel Shiloh. This is a flat area which is large enough to fit the tabernacle - 50m wide by 100m long, with east-west orientation - just as required by the Biblical instructions.

Samaritan Passover Sacrifice Site

For over 2000 years the Samaritan Passover have been observed on Mt. Gerizim. Excavations have revealed that the Samaritan temple was constructed around 425 BC and destroyed some 200 years later. The Samaritans continued to offer sacrifices here, se for example John 4:20, and do so to this day.
